The Century State Junior
Golf Championship
Presented by Centennial Wireless at Pine
View Golf Course, July 20-21. Event is open to players 20 years
old and younger. Entry of $75 includes lunch and golf each day.

Michigan PGA Junior Tour
The Michigan PGA Junior Golf Tour is committed to bringing professionally
run tournaments to junior golfers in the state of Michigan. Membership is
open to Michigan Resident Boys and Girls age 13-18. Technology is
highlighted with online membership and tournament registration, as well as
online player information and e-confirmation. The AJGA will provide two
exemptions to the girls and boys Champions at the Tour Championship. Osprey
Recreational Properties will once again sponsor the scholarship program for
graduating seniors in 2009. Register online at

U.S. Kids Golf
Local Tour
The Michigan PGA will administer the U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour in 2009.
Open to ages 12 & under, the Local Tours were created to provide
opportunities to advance golf skills through age appropriate competition.

Junior PGA Championship
This event is formerly known as the Westfield Junior PGA Championship.
The Michigan Section Qualifier is going to be held at Bedford Valley Golf
Club in Battle Creek on June 25-26. Event is open to players age 18 &
under and have not started college. The boys and girls champion will
qualify for the National Championship at TPC River's Bend in Maineville,
Ohio on July 28-31.

PGA Junior Series
The PGA Junior Series has 10 events scheduled nationally for 2009. All
events are staffed by the same professionals who work the PGA Championship
and the Ryder Cup. An event is scheduled in Michigan on June 22-23 at

Trusted Choice "Big I" Junior
Classic
Open to all amateur golfers who have not reached their 19th birthday on or
before July 30, 2009. Participants advance to the state tournament
(tbd) through local qualifiers held in
June. State winners advance to the National "Big I" Junior Tournament
in Ardmore, OK July 25-30.

The Optimist International
Junior Golf Championships
Open to golfers age 10-18, a local qualifier will be held at Heritage Glen
on May 15. The state tournament is scheduled for June 22-23 at Shanty
Creek - Schuss Mountain in Bellaire. The national tournament will be
held at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on July 23-
August 2.
