The Junior Golf Association was established in 1987 with the purpose of providing quality golf experiences for area juniors at affordable rates. Early fundraisers by Jim Roschek and John Block laid the foundation for the JGA Scholarship Fund. In recent years, the JGA has supported all tournaments, instruction, administrative costs and Scholarship donations solely on entry fees. Dean Marks PGA Certified Professional

Dean Marks, one of five PGA Professionals Certified in Instruction in the state of Michigan, will donate 20% of all private golf lesson gift certificates purchased through the JGA web site to the Junior Golf Association.  Lesson certificates may be used over the winter at Year Round Golf (The Dome in Schoolcraft) or anytime next season.

U.S. Kids Golf is the preferred club of the JGA offering equipment for beginners (Ultralight Series) and advanced players (Tour Series).

U.S. Kids Golf TOUR SERIES clubs are made from the same high-tech materials as leading brand adult equipment including beta forged titanium drivers, stainless steel woods and irons, black nickel spin wedges and more.  For kids playing at an intermediate to advanced level with swing speeds above a specified mph for their height (see chart below), the TOUR SERIES clubs are designed to perform. Clubhead weight in TOUR SERIES is 6% heavier than in Ultralight clubs. 100% graphite shafts are stiffer for higher swing speeds and frequency matched to get stiffer as the player becomes taller.
